Change is in the Air

Happy Fall everyone! As we are now late into November, some changes have occurred at the clinic. Jennifer Medeiros, RMT has officially moved to Health at Hand at 520 Park Street in Kitchener as of October 1st. Access to the parking lot is through the driveway of 524 Park Street next door. Please note as well that any links previously sent through blog posts are no longer active as a new scheduling button has replaced them. Not to worry! Schedulicity is still being used for online booking and you will still able to book your appointments online.

As we have officially entered into cold weather, health care awareness is extremely important. As students are back in school, head colds increase drastically. Preventative measures should be made by washing hands on a regular basis and getting enough sleep at night. Muscles also may take a longer time to warm up before exercise or stiffness may occur more often after activity. Preventative measures should also be taken for muscle health. Bundles up and stay warm so that muscles don’t stiffen up as easily in the winter months. Regular massages can also help alleviate muscle soreness and prevent strains or other injuries as well.

COVID-19 Update

Due to the State of Emergency announced in Waterloo Region this past week and the mandate put forth by PHA and my governing college (CMTO), I will be temporarily keeping my Massage Therapy Clinic closed at this time. As I am unsure as to when it will be safe to reopen, I will be contacting clients on a weekly basis who have an upcoming appointment to cancel their treatments and will be placing them on a rebook list for when this outbreak has passed.
