A Note from the Therapist

Happy Fall everyone! I hope everyone had a great summer and is enjoying the beautiful colours of autumn. As the seasons and temperature are changing, I wish to inform you of a few changes that are also happening at my clinic.

First, I am excited to announce that I have taken a couple new courses this fall and am now certified in Acupressure. Many of you may have noticed a few added things in your treatments with me. That being said, remember that if you dislike any of these additional acupressure techniques or find them uncomfortable please let me know immediately and I will discontinue them in your future treatments.

Secondly, as of January 1st, 2015, I am compelled to increase my fees to $90.00 (tax included) per hour . This change of five dollars will also be added to 30 minute, 45 minute, 90 minute and 120 minute treatments. According to the Massage Therapy governing body (CMTO), the average massage therapist in Ontario charges $102.00 per hour. So to stay on par with other massage therapists, as well as to be fair to my clientele, I feel that by increasing my fees to stay just under the average is a good happy medium.

Lastly, I will be discontinuing these quarterly newsletters in the New Year, however to keep you informed and up to date, I will maintain the blogs that I send out on a monthly basis. These blogs are much the same as the newsletter articles, though shorter, they contain much useful and interesting information. Thank you to all those who have read my newsletters on a regular basis. I look forward to stay in touch with everyone on a monthly basis via my blogs. Have a great Fall!

COVID-19 Update

Due to the State of Emergency announced in Waterloo Region this past week and the mandate put forth by PHA and my governing college (CMTO), I will be temporarily keeping my Massage Therapy Clinic closed at this time. As I am unsure as to when it will be safe to reopen, I will be contacting clients on a weekly basis who have an upcoming appointment to cancel their treatments and will be placing them on a rebook list for when this outbreak has passed.
