Give the Gift of Massage

Special days like Valentines Day, gifting those you care about with a massage gift certificate is one of the very best gifts you can give.  Whether you are single or in a committed relationship, this time of year can be used as an opportunity to embrace self worth and love or a luxurious treat of therapeutic touch to relax and unwind for someone you love.

Massage relieves the body’s stresses and relaxes the mind, promoting healthier well-being.  Set aside a few hours during the next few months and pamper yourself.  Treating yourself to a massage will put you in a better mood, you’ll also bring more cheer to those around you, so really, you could think of getting yourself that massage as your gift to everyone!

So, rather than waiting until the last minute and spending too much on a gift no one really wants or needs, for friends and family, young and old, massage is the ultimate gift.  For more details, please call Jennifer Medeiros – 519.569.9890.

Making Massage a New Year’s Resolution

We all know the drill. For some, it’s become a tradition. Before the confetti hits the floor, most of us already have made our New Year’s resolutions and possibly broken them.  But, let’s give ourselves the benefit of the doubt. Every December, as we indulge in various holiday treats, we promise ourselves that once the New Year arrives, we will take better care of our bodies, minds and spirits.

The reasons behind these resolutions vary from person to person, but invariably, they are a reaction to the differing stresses that play such a major part in our daily lives. Job stress, family issues and a host of other outside factors provide the motivation to get in shape and learn to cope. And according to a recent study, many Canadians are making massage one of their top New Year’s resolutions.

How can massage therapy help you to keep your resolutions? There are many ways but two stand out. First, massage therapy by itself can help you improve your health due to the many healthy benefits of massage including: improved circulation, greater flexibility, better sleep, feelings of wellness, and reduced muscular pain. Secondly, massage therapy can help you get into shape because the nagging soreness and pain from a new workout routine can be reduced or eliminated. When your pain levels are reduced you are more likely to want to continue your workouts. Receiving regular massage therapy can also prevent muscle soreness and minor injuries that could prevent you from keeping up with your workout schedule.

Let massage help kick off the New Year.

COVID-19 Update

Due to the State of Emergency announced in Waterloo Region this past week and the mandate put forth by PHA and my governing college (CMTO), I will be temporarily keeping my Massage Therapy Clinic closed at this time. As I am unsure as to when it will be safe to reopen, I will be contacting clients on a weekly basis who have an upcoming appointment to cancel their treatments and will be placing them on a rebook list for when this outbreak has passed.
